History:

In 2024, Louis Southard joined the Mad Cave Studios' relaunch of the Flash Gordon universe. Appearing in Flash Gordon Quarterly #1, Louis and artist Nuno Plati created the very first Flash Gordon alternate universe with their short story "The Battle of Little Mingo". Set in a sci-fi / western version of the iconic original mythos, we follow the adventures of Sheriff Gordon, Deputy Arden, and the nefarious Governor Ming T. Marcellus.

Louis' inclusion also made history with him being the first Gen Z person to ever write a Flash Gordon story. Also, at 24 he is currently the youngest person to write a Flash Gordon comics story in its over 90 year history.
